Chad Reed invernale a Budds Creek

CReed rimane in testa nella Classe 450. L'australiano è arrivato terzo nella prima manche a Budds Creek e ha vinto la seconda. Ryan Villopoto è stato il più forte nella prima, caldissima gara. Dopo la pausa, RV è arrivato terzo. Un normale Ryan Dungey è arrivato secondo due volte. Mike Alessi è partito velocissimo due volte; ma alla fine si è dovuto accontentare del 5° posto. Il pilota ufficiale Honda Josh Grant è tornato dopo una lunga assenza per un infortunio al ginocchio con un 10° posto.

Nella classe Lites, Tyla Rattray (2-1) è stata la più intelligente e coerente. Anche il sudafricano ex campione del mondo MX2 resta in testa al campionato. Soprattutto la forte seconda manche di Styla, che ha vinto con dieci secondi di vantaggio su Tomac, lo conferma come contendente al titolo. Il compagno di squadra Dean Wilson (1-3) è arrivato secondo nella classifica finale, Justin Barcia (6-2) è arrivato terzo. Nella seconda manche, solo due sudafricani (negli Stati Uniti c'è un podio dopo ogni manche) sono saliti sul podio, mentre Swanepoel è arrivato quarto.
